Chatting with HULDRA PRESS!

Did you know the name Huldra Press comes from Scandinavian folklore and describes a woman with a fox’s tail who lives in the woods. Pretty fancy, huh?

Please, introduce yourselfHi, my name is Marianne. I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and make books, drawings, and letterpress prints under the studio name Huldra Press.

Natural history, field guides, Shaker objects, folklore, daydreams, the Arctic, libraries, and children’s drawings, these are the things I think about and why my work looks the way it does.

What's a great gift idea you will be bringing to Crafty Balboa Holiday? A leather notebook with a mix of vintage graph paper and illustrations, handmade paper, and thick drawing paper. Each book is one of a kind and entirely handmade with quality materials so it will age beautifully as it's used. Perfect for anyone who writes, draws, or just likes to jot things down.

I'll have them in different sizes, prices ranging from $32 to $40

All I want for Christmas is.... A room of old books and a Vandercook proof press. That would be the best Christmas ever.

Huldra Press will be at Crafty Balboa Holiday on December 17th. The show is located at 315 South Broad Street and will run from 11am to 5pm! Need to find her before that? Just look here!
